Who Organizes the Mission Trips?

MEET THE FOUNDER After seeing my two children raise funds for mission trips in Thailand, I thought “If they can do it, so can other kids.”   In March 2004 we registered with Washington State as a nonprofit and charity, which has 501©3 exempt status with the IRS.

As I look back on 2004, I ask myself and I ask you, "Can kids make a difference for other kids in this world?"  Through car washes, basketball shoots, walk-a-thons and coin drives, more than 100 children have participated in our mission trip fundraisers. All of them were between the ages of 3 and 14. The children raised over $4000 in this short time with 100% of the monies going directly toward basic supplies for needy kids around the world. 

How to Change a Heart through our Outreach Program

Hearts change by something as simple as encouraging a child to participate in an activity that will benefit someone other than himself.  Prior to our outreach program in Thailand, my son was challenged by his grandfather to use his own money to purchase supplies for a children's home.  He solicited his sister to help him and they promoted a basketball pledge as a fundraiser.  

In less than four hours, they gathered pledges, shot the baskets and collected $670. Their excitement about their fundraiser was contagious and caused a desire in many of their friends to want to participate as well.  The money raised in this outreach program fundraiser was used to purchase soap, shampoo, and towels. The children also purchased a truckload of rice, which would feed 60 kids for forty days.
